I didn’t start my career in finance. I started in steel-toe boots — in Alberta’s oilfield and welding trades — before realizing that understanding how money works is just as important as earning it.
While completing my Commerce degree in Finance at the University of Alberta, I simultaneously worked at CIBC, learning firsthand how individuals and business owners behave with money — not just how textbooks say they should.
Today, as an Associate Portfolio Manager and Associate Wealth Advisor with CIBC Wood Gundy, I work with first-generation wealth builders across Western Canada — professionals, entrepreneurs, and business owners who have earned their capital through discipline and want to steward it intentionally.

What I Do
My role isn’t to predict markets. It’s to provide structure — and protect decision-making — through every market cycle and life transition.
- Provide clarity: goals, priorities, and a plan your capital can support
- Reduce tax friction: coordinated strategy across accounts, income, and estate planning
- Align investments with life: disciplined portfolios tied to real objectives
- Protect behavior: guidance that helps families avoid costly, emotional decisions
Typical fit: professionals and business owners (often $150K+ household income), and retirees with $500K+ investable assets — with flexibility for high earning potential and strong alignment.
How I Work
I meet with most clients semi-annually. The emphasis is on your life: what has changed, what’s coming, and what needs to be updated to keep your plan aligned. Investments are the engine — but the meeting is about steering.
When major market events occur, we communicate proactively. The goal is simple: reduce noise, protect behavior, and keep long-term trajectories intact.
What I Believe
- Discipline beats prediction. Most outcomes are driven by behavior, not forecasting.
- Structure creates freedom. A clear plan reduces stress and improves decisions.
- Tax is part of returns. Reducing friction matters across decades.
- Stewardship is the destination. Wealth is most powerful when used intentionally.
A Simple Next Step
If you value calm structure, disciplined strategy, and intentional stewardship, I welcome a conversation.
